Put-away Process
Configuration of new Storage type HKD(DOCK) with putaway strategy of BULK to be tested using Userexit which has been developed
for storing UPC numbers in place of Storage Numbers during Transfer Order creation
Rahul
2/08/13

b
Putaway Process
Told to create three Storage type with names DOC, SL1 and STG . The put away strategy for DOC and STG will be BULK.
The strategy for SL1 (SHELF) will have I (adding quantity into existing stock)
Rahul

c
Putaway Process
Told to change the strategy for SL1 from I to L (adding quantity into next empty bin) which has Mixed Storage with capacity check

d
Putaway Process
While testing for SL1 found that even though it has mixed storage, but during TO creation the stock is filled into empty bins only and not considering the
capacity and bins having some stock in it. So suggest to work on a Userexit which will override the bins suggested by bins and proposes the bins as the available
capacity
Rahul

f
Put away process
Create additional storage location with name DOCK and complete the configuration for material transfer between TWO storage locations - DOCK to PRVA using transaction
MB1B and movement type 311 and TO should be generated at storage location PRVA and the material should be sent to Storage type SL1 (SHELF) instead of DOC storage location.

Rahul
2/08/13
1)Configuration of HKD completed and the use of Userexit which is used to replace storage number with UPC numbers completed
2) While creating TO for PO#4600004810 getting error - Destination Storage Bin not available . Looking into the error , and found that the error is coming due to the use of Userxit. This was found when we unchecked the Userexit from Storage type HKD control sheet in SPRO we are not getting any error , but UPC number conversion not working. Informed Rahul about it. Still looking how to over come this error. Finally change the configuration of bins and storage unit type which has helped in over come this error

Rahul
2/19/13
Changed the strategy from I to L as the strategy I does not support mixed storage as per SAP HELP Docs and completed the testing for new strategy L but found that the standard strategy does not considers the capacity check and it was decided to perform testing with huge qty say more than 144 as the maximum bin capacity at SL1 is 144 ea.

Testing of different scenarios
Rahul
2/20/13
Tested the scenario 1) move the material using PO# into ST1 and then moved the same using LT10 into STG and tried to do picking against a sales order but during confirmation of TO it was asking to enter the SU No ; Did some research why it is asking to enter and found that the SU no is lost when moving material from SU Managed
Storage type to Non - SU managed one .
Looked into alternative option of PutAway Strategy - C (Open Bin) which does not required SUM activated and the issue is that for one section we can have only one bin (as per SAP Help) . Informed and show the demo to Rahul.
Tested Scenario 2) where material is moved using PO# first into DOC and then into SL1 and then into STG and updated Rahul /Babu through email

2/22/13
Prepared for demo to show complete process starting from Putaway to Picking using following strategy
Shelf without SU Management and Stage with Bulk and SU Mngt , but while confirmation of Picking it was asking to enter the Storage Unit Number of the Source Bin and looked for a user exit which will help to automatically pick the number and stores during Confirmation.
Finally it was decided to change the Putaway Strategy of Stage from Bulk to Shelf with maximum capacity of bin (999,999.000) and perform the testing. PO# 460004962 / 63 were created with mutilple materials and grids in it and Sales order were kept ready SO# 55652 /653 and after completing the intial testing a demo was shown to Rahul for the complete cycle for PO# 460004963 and SO# 55653 . Showed the putaway process and moved the material to Shelf and then moved the same to Stage using LT10. Completed the ARUN for sales order and created Delivery and went on with Transfer order creation and Confirmation successfully. Finally completed PGI process.

Return delivery testing in Q in progress, the reason for TO screen not coming immediately after delivery is created has been analysed . The warehouse storage location is HKDC , whereas for the Return Delivery the storage location which should receive the returns has been defined as PRVA.
So, during the delivery creation the receiving storagelocation should be changed from PRVA to HKDC and save the document , then the TO screen would come and final option is to change the receiving storage location to HKDC in SPRO .

Happy scenario1
Creation of Sales orders, creation of POs # 4600004968 to 4600004972 completed and testing is in progress

wip
Scenario 7
Tested the scenario as per steps given below: 1) Created Sales Order 55710 for material – 10016656
2) Through MRP generated Pur req and PO# 4600004973 was created and completed MIGO.
3) Now the stock is at 902 location
4) Completed ARUN
5) Created Delivery # 80009449 against Sales order
6) Tried to create Transfer Order , but the system is asking us to enter Storage Unit Type (error message – Enter Storage unit)
7) When entered SUT manually and also details of Source – 902 , section 001 and BIN NO as PO# the transfer order created.
Eventhough Transfer order is not created automatically
as Storage units are not assigned,But some confusion
will rise within the Warehouse persons as they have delivery document
with them . So a way has to be explored to avoid Delivery creation at 902 (902 is a place where quality check is done)
